How to record your medications

I take medications and want to record that I'm taking them and set reminders. How can I do this?

Keeping all your medications in one place can help you feel more on top of your health. Follow these simple steps to record all your medicines, set reminders and keep your medical information up-to-date.

  1. Go to your Personal Health Records in the Evergreen Life app.
  2. Scroll down and tap on the ‘Medications’ tile
  3. Tap on the ‘plus’ (+) button to add a new medication
  4. Start typing the name of your medication in the ‘I am taking’ box, or simply scan the bar code on the box your medication came from
  5. Once you've selected your medication, you can enter information such as dosage and frequency
  6. If you want to set a reminder to take your medication, tap on ‘Remind Me’ underneath frequency
  7. You can customise your reminder by tapping on the automatic reminder that is set. Tap on ‘Every day’ to change the frequency or the date you started this medication, and tap on ‘at breakfast’ to change the time of your reminder
  8. If you have a health condition that this medication is related to, you can link this by typing in the name of your condition in the conditions box.
  9. Any other information you want to record about your medication can be written in the 'Notes' section, and you can also attach any photos related to this medication.
  10. Tap ‘Save’ once complete.

That’s it! You'll then be redirected to your list of medications.

If you’re connected to your GP record, you’ll also be able to view any medications prescribed by your GP, keeping your complete medication history in one place. Here's how to do this:

  1. In the medications section in 'My Health Record,' tap on the medication prescribed by your GP - this will have an 'i' information icon and the words 'Imported from Gp Record' underneath in a grey rectangular box.
  2. Tap the 'i' information icon and it will come up with some information and a list of options for you to update how often you take this medication, or confirm whether or not you're still taking it. You can also indicate that you're taking a different dose to what was prescribed.
  3. Tap on which option best describes your current information

All done - dose confirmed! This helps you take control of your medications and have your own up-to-date, accurate medicines record.

If you’re not linked to your GP record, check out our article on how to link to your GP record in the app.
